Why the plan looks like this

  • 3 strength sessions a week: Full body A, Full body B, Full body C.
  • Training days: Mon, Wed, Fri — spread out to leave recovery time.
  • Goal "general fitness": main lifts 6–10 reps, accessories 10–15 reps.
  • Sessions fit 45 minutes including an 8-minute warm-up.
  • You haven't trained recently, so every exercise starts with one set fewer.
  • Week 4 is a lighter recovery week (fewer sets, easier effort).
  • Main lifts get an extra set in week 3.

Who it's for

  • You train at home with dumbbells.
  • You have about 45 minutes, 3 days a week.
  • You're starting out, or starting again.

What you need: Dumbbells (a few pairs, or adjustable ones) and some floor space.

Questions

Can I train my whole body with only dumbbells?
Yes. Dumbbells cover the main movements: squats, hinges, presses and rows. The plan adds reps first, then weight, so heavier or adjustable dumbbells help as you get stronger.
Do I need a bench?
No. These answers use dumbbells and bodyweight only. If you have a bench, add it to your own answers and the plan can use it.
